The Low Ryder Hates Change

October 21, 2011 Katrina RyderNutty

If you are getting this by e-mail or feed reader, you should click over to the website to see that things are a little funky in what used to be the land of The Low Ryder. “WAIT!!”  You think. “What did she do?!” You say. “Where’s the LOW RYDER?” You shriek! Or maybe you aren’t…Continue reading The Low Ryder Hates Change

I Love the Big Catch of Fish

October 19, 2011October 14, 2015 Katrina RyderFull of Fruit

Have you ever been patiently explaining something to God for the third or fourth time because HE just doesn’t seem to get it when you suddenly realize, “Wait. I’m a total dipwad. I’m pretty sure he knows this already. Maybe I should just shut up, so that He can explain something to me.” Well, this…Continue reading I Love the Big Catch of Fish

Dear Magic Eraser

October 14, 2011February 17, 2013 Katrina RyderFull of Fruit

Dear Magic Eraser, I am long overdue in writing to tell you how much I love you and how much you have changed my life.  When I think back to the wasted years of cleaning with inferior products, I could practically cry with relief that those days are over.  I spent hours and effort, scrubbing,…Continue reading Dear Magic Eraser

C Verse-The One You’ve Been Waiting For

October 10, 2011 Katrina RyderFull of Fruit

It’s time for yet another Letter Verse to help conform our children into perfectly behaving little automatons. Oh wait.  Just kidding. It is a little trickier than that. In fact, your kids are going to have to do just what we adults have to do when we learn a verse–be changed by it. Shorty after…Continue reading C Verse-The One You’ve Been Waiting For

Poorganic Whole Wheat Bagels

October 7, 2011 Katrina RyderLiving Poorganically

These Bagels should really be called “Fall Day Bagels” because they are great for warming up the house on a fall day, but I like to have “Poorganic” in the title of the “Eating Poorganically” posts as a warning to those who are afraid of becoming too crazy!! (Boo!) Here is a warning. These bagels…Continue reading Poorganic Whole Wheat Bagels

Trip to the Pet Store

October 4, 2011 Katrina RyderSweet

Last Wednesday the Providinator called to ask if we had money for a little family dinner outing.  He wanted to go to the pet store for an algae eater for his classroom fish tank.  Since kids love pet stores (especially kids without pets), he though we could all go together, grab dinner somewhere quick, get…Continue reading Trip to the Pet Store

Re-runs are Fun

October 4, 2011 Katrina RyderNutty

In keeping with the true spirit of autumn, my FAVORITE season, I am spending lots of time making soup and staring glassy eyed into our gorgeous leaf-ful backyard, thus I am going to re-run a post from last October when a similar thing happened.  This will give you a good idea of The Ryderdom right…Continue reading Re-runs are Fun

Give Us This Day Our Poorganic Bread

October 2, 2011 Katrina RyderLiving Poorganically

Here in the Land of Eating Poorganically, we’ve already covered Dairy, so we’re moving on to the next food group that I can speak with confidence about: BREAD. I LOVE BREAD! It is my favorite food of all times, so I knew that I really needed to figure out a way to make this post…Continue reading Give Us This Day Our Poorganic Bread

Beavers in the House

September 30, 2011 Katrina RyderLetter Verses

Don’t worry. There aren’t really beavers in my house.  It’s just that every time I started thinking about the “B Verse” post, I was thinking of myself speaking in my awesome ghetto-hood wannabe voice shouting (scissor hands pointed sidewise, head cocked confidently), “B VERSE, in da HOUSE!” And then of course, all I could think…Continue reading Beavers in the House

The Most Important Post I Ever Wrote

September 25, 2011 Katrina RyderFull of Fruit

Warning:  At the end of this post, I am going to BEG you to repost and share it.  If you don’t have time to read the post, just go ahead and repost it anyway. I assure you it is awesome.  😉  Still, I know there are a few of you who get all cheesed-off by…Continue reading The Most Important Post I Ever Wrote

About me

Hi! I'm Katrina. I'm married to an elementary school music teacher and am mom to three busy teenagers. Although I dream of being a writer, I keep busy substitute teaching, directing Shakespeare plays, teaching homeschool classes and working seasonally at a local u-pick farm. These days my blog is mostly a venue for information about my homeschool classes, but the archives contain my old posts about faith, finances, food, and family. I also have archives of The Poorganic Life food blog and You Go Girl! studies. I love Jesus, my family, libraries, audiobooks, Harry Potter, talking about the Enneagram, gardening, Hamilton, and eating crusty bread.

Where’s the one about . . .?
