An Excuse and a Brilliant Recipe

Brilliant idea!

For my loyal following who have noticed the absence of new posts, I can only offer the excuse that book club is tonight and I always wait to read until the last minute, so all day I will be reading. Meanwhile, my children will be tearing the house to shreds and it will be frozen, not homemade, pizza for dinner.

To compensate, I offer the following brilliant free recipe for entertaining a preschool aged boy courtesy of my mother.

Ingredients
1. one scampy boy or girl ages 2-4
2. a hot day
3. bowls
4. cups, baby food mill, straws, miscellanea
5. water
6. outside area, preferably somewhere private if you include item 7
7. nudity

Mix and allow to romp about, pouring, spilling, and creating hygenic nightmare. Refill bowls when necessary. Add ice for additional thrill.

Enjoy approximately 25 minutes (more or less depending on your child) of peace. :)

I shall return tomorrow and J is almost done with school workdays, which will hopefully mean daily posts on some sort of regular schedule.

Well, in our case, it was on the screened porch, but if you don’t have that, then yes, sunscreen AND mosquito repellent or else–ouch and itch! :)
